New Alliance for Women in Media PSA Available to Download
The Alliance for Women in Media (AWM) has partnered with Dove, the global beauty brand, since in 2004. In 2009, the two organizations worked together to launch a new radio public service announcement (PSA) campaign to inspire parents and mentors to help girls to reach their full potential. The campaign features a series of recordings voiced by distinguished celebrities who have been instrumental in raising awareness about the importance of mentoring and building positive self-esteem among girls and women. The four unique PSAs will run throughout the year on radio stations nationwide and contribute to the Dove Self-Esteem Fund goal to educate and encourage the next generation to build a positive relationship with beauty. The campaign’s first PSA featuring film and television star Amy Poehler was announced earlier this year. It is still available to download at the AWM website, or by clicking here. AWM is also pleased to share that the second PSA, voiced by "CBS News" Anchor Katie Couric is now available in 30 and 60 second formats. Please visit the campaign's website for download instructions and the Proof of Performance sheet. The Proof of Performance form is extremely valuable, so AWM asks that you take the time to let them know the number of airplays and any additional feedback so they can continue to strengthen the PSA program.
