The 2010 Radio Show produced by RAB and NAB will feature a live performance by Jack Ingram, celebrated country music artist and BMI songwriter. The performance will take place during the NAB Marconi Radio Awards Dinner & Show, hosted by radio legend and NAB Broadcasting Hall of Fame inductee Ron Chapman. The performance will take place on Thursday, September 30 at the Grand Hyatt Washington hotel.

"We are delighted to present a performer at the forefront of country music," said NAB Executive Vice President of Radio John David. "With Ron Chapman as the show host and Jack Ingram as the featured entertainment, this year's NAB Marconi Radio Awards Show promises to be highly entertaining."

A Texas-born songwriter and performer, Ingram's slow and steady rise to fame began during college at Southern Methodist University, when he performed two Willie Nelson songs and one original tune at an open mic night. His charisma resonated with the audience, and shortly thereafter Ingram and his Beat Up Ford Band were performing at packed bars in both Dallas and Houston. Ingram gradually became known as a talented singer and songwriter with sharp lyrics and a strong reputation as a live performer.

Ingram has released seven albums since 1997. Arguably one of the best songs of his career, "In the Corner," was written after he lost a record deal with Sony's boutique Lucky Dog label. Following the completion of this song, Ingram joined Big Machine Records, an independent label that released Live: Wherever You Are in 2006. The album featured the hit song "Wherever You Are," Ingram's first top 40 single on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs charts which subsequently went all the way to number one on all charts. Further hits for Ingram have included multiple Top 10 and Top 15 hits such as "Love You," "Lips of an Angel," "That's A Man" and "Barefoot and Crazy." Ingram is also a winner at the Country Music Television Awards, Academy of Country Music Awards and has performed on everything from NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," to "The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien," CBS' "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" and "The Early Show," "Fox & Friends," "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," CNN and most recently on the Academy of Country Music Awards this year on CBS in front of 15 million people.

A 50-year veteran of radio and multiple inductee to the Texas Radio Hall of Fame, Chapman became a regular substitute for ABC's "Paul Harvey News" a few years after announcing his retirement in 2005. Chapman previously entertained Dallas listeners at KLUV-FM, an Oldies station that saw high ratings upon Chapman's arrival in the late 1990s. Earlier this year, Chapman was inducted into the NAB Broadcasting Hall of Fame.

Established in 1989 and named after inventor and Nobel Prize winner Guglielmo Marconi, the NAB Marconi Radio Awards are given to radio stations and outstanding on-air personalities to recognize excellence in radio. Winners will be announced at the NAB Marconi Radio Awards Dinner & Show.
