Christiane Amanpour, anchor of ABC News and ABC News Radio's "This Week with Christiane Amanpour," will conduct a newsmaker interview in an intimate Q-and-A session held Friday, October 1 during the Radio Luncheon at the 2010 Radio Show produced by the Radio Advertising Bureau and National Association of Broadcasters.

Amanpour, a highly respected journalist recognized around the world for her reporting and interviews, brings to "This Week" a wealth of experience and knowledge, as she takes up the reins of the popular Sunday morning news program. Amanpour will also provide international analysis regarding important issues of the day on various ABC News programs and platforms, as well as anchor primetime documentaries on international subjects.

Previously CNN's Chief International Correspondent, Amanpour's work has earned her numerous broadcast awards, including an inaugural Television Academy Honor, nine News and Documentary Emmys, four George Foster Peabody Awards, two George Polk Awards, three duPont-Columbia Awards, the Courage in Journalism Award and the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) Edward R. Murrow award.

The Radio Luncheon will also feature Charles Warfield, president and chief operating officer of ICBC Broadcast Holdings, Inc., who will receive the National Radio Award. Each year the National Radio Award honors an individual who is an outstanding leader in the radio business. Previous National Radio Award recipients include Ed Christian, Bruce Reese, Jerry Lee, David Kennedy, John Dille, Lowry Mays, Jeff Smulyan, Bill Stakelin and Erica Farber, among others.

Finally, the NAB HD Radio Multicast Award will be presented during the Radio Luncheon. The NAB HD Radio Multicast Award was established in 2007 and recognizes stations utilizing HD Radio technology through innovative or groundbreaking programming on a multicast channel.
