New PSA Featuring President Obama Celebrates 20th Anniversary of Americans with Disabilities Act

New public service announcements featuring President Barack Obama and celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act are now available for radio and television stations to air. A high-definition television spot will be made available to TV stations through a special NAB satellite feed scheduled for Wednesday, August 4. Radio stations can download an audio version of the new PSA from NAB's dedicated PSA clearinghouse NABSpotCenter.org. TV stations can access the satellite coordinates for the August 4 feed here.

The new PSA, released by the Ad Council on July 26, 20 years after the enactment of the landmark legislation, notes that one in five Americans are currently living with a disability. "Twenty years ago, the Americans with Disabilities Act guaranteed every person the right to live, work and participate fully in the American experience," President Obama says in the PSA. "We've come a long way since then, and we are committed to making even more progress in the years ahead."
