FCC’s DIRS Program Can Help Stations Prepare for Emergencies

With hurricane season underway, NAB reminds all broadcasters to enroll in the FCC’s Disaster Information Reporting System (DIRS), and if you have done so already, to please update your information as needed during any weather or other emergency situation that may arise. The DIRS program allows radio and television stations to keep the FCC and other government agencies informed about their operational status during a disaster, and potentially help stations obtain fuel, a generator, or other vital supplies needed during a disaster.

To learn more about DIRS, please take a moment to watch this brief video produced by NAB in conjunction with the FCC.
