FCC Tells Public: Here's How to Complain About CC Issues

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) last week issued a public notice to alert the members of the public about the new ways to file closed captioning complaints. This public notice comes on the heels of another issued earlier this month to remind broadcasters and other video program distributors that the new requirement to provide the FCC with closed captioning complaint contact information is overdue. Now that the FCC has arguably simplified the closed captioning complaint process, broadcasters could see a spike in complaints made directly to the station and to the FCC.
