Anthony E. Zuiker, creator and executive producer of the "CSI" television franchise, will be featured in a Super Session held on Wednesday, April 14, during the NAB Show in Las Vegas. Zuiker, who has found success in blending traditional TV with evolving multimedia platforms for his crime scene series, will speak during a session entitled "Multiplatform: Taking Content to the Next Level."
Zuiker will discuss the growing entertainment trend of creating original and repurposed content for cross-platforms, from television to the Internet to mobile devices.
With "CSI," which includes "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "CSI: Miami," and "CSI: NY," Zuiker has built one of the highest-rated franchises in television history. In 2009, the CBS series boasted yet another ratings feat when the casts of all three shows joined for a three-night crossover television event. Episodes from the "CSI" franchise routinely appear in Nielsen's weekly Top 10 broadcast ratings, earning the show 28 Emmy nominations.
Zuiker's latest project is the release of Level 26, the world's first 'Digi-Novel,' which provides readers with a unique storytelling experience incorporating numerous online three-minute motion picture scenes throughout the book. About every 20 pages, readers are given the opportunity to log on to the book's Web site to watch the scene, which uses A-list actors to bring the book's characters to life. The interactivity on Level 26 exists on both the Internet and mobile devices.
