New NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith was honored at a November 5 reception hosted by former Congressman Dan Glickman (KS), chairman and CEO of the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA). The widely-attended event , held at MPAA headquarters in Washington, brought together scores of telecommunications lobbyists, former FCC members and congressional staff. Also attending the event were Sens. Arlen Specter (PA), Roger Wicker (MS) John Cornyn (TX) as well as Rep. Gene Green (TX-29).
