In a Radio World op-ed, NAB Radio Board Chairman and President and COO of ICBC Broadcast Holdings Charles Warfield urges radio to "not let up" on the fight against a performance tax and to "to schedule a meeting with your lawmakers when they return home to meet with constituents. Invite your elected representatives to your station; take them on a tour of your studio. If they have already co-sponsored the Local Radio Freedom Act, thank them for their support."

Deadlines Approaching for Comment on NAB's Petition for Reconsideration of New Ownership Reporting Requirements
The deadline is fast approaching to file comments in support of NAB's petition to reconsider changes to the Federal Communication Commission's (FCC) ownership reporting requirements. Earlier this year, the FCC adopted an order expanding the biennial ownership reporting obligations to sole proprietors and certain non-attributable investors. NAB sought reconsideration of this order, asserting that the sole proprietor filing requirement will not add to the FCC's knowledge about minority and female ownership and will burden small licensees.
