ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" to Receive Service to America Leadership Award
The Emmy Award-winning program "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition," airing for a 7th season this fall on ABC, will receive the NAB Education Foundation's (NABEF) Leadership Award, presented during the 11th annual Celebration of Service to America Awards on June 8. The awards ceremony will also feature the presentation of NABEF's Guardian Award, honoring ThanksUSA founders Kelsi and Rachel Okun for their commitment to supporting the men and women of the United States Armed Forces.

Reminder: Post-June12 DTV Consumer Education for Phased-Transition Stations
For the majority of full-power stations, their on-air consumer obligations will terminate on June 12, 2009. However, stations that have not completed construction of their full authorized post-transition digital facility must continue complying with the Consumer Education requirements after they terminate their analog service until they complete construction and commence operation of their full authorized post-transition digital facility.

FCC Proposes FY 2009 Regulatory Fees
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has proposed regulatory fees for fiscal year 2009. Congress has mandated that the FCC collect $341,875,000 in regulatory fees for 2009 to recover the regulatory costs associated with the FCC's enforcement, policy and rulemaking, user information and international activities. This total represents an overall increase of 9.57 percent over fiscal year 2008.
