Broadcast Management Session Spotlight: Two Sessions to Tackle Tower Monetization

Radio broadcasters have a viable commodity that few think of as revenue generating. At the NAB Show in Las Vegas “Vertical Real Estate: Tall Towers Mean Tall Dollars” will explore monetizing a station’s tower and site, while TowerSource LLC, a high profile online exchange for vertical assets, will unveil a new tower leasing service available exclusively to NAB members.

The “NAB Tower Leasing Program Overview” produced by TowerSource LLC, will take place on Tuesday, April 21, from 7:45 - 8:45 a.m. in Room N238/240 and will provide an overview of the new NAB Tower Leasing service available to NAB members. TowerSource LLC will also unveil their new online exchange with increased functionality and an upgraded user interface allowing for a more efficient exchange of information between buyer and seller.

Directly following the TowerSource LLC presentation will be “Vertical Real Estate: Tall Towers Mean Tall Dollars,” which will look at tower monetization from a manager’s perspective. Should stations lease their towers? Are stations getting the fair share of the market from their tower assets? Should stations sell their tower and lease it back? All theses questions and more will be answered as moderators Erwin Krasnow, partner at Garvey Schubert Barer will lead a panel that includes the President of Broadcast Tower Management, Gary Hess; Managing Director of Media Venture Partners, Clayton Funk; and Eagle Communications’ President and CEO Gary Shorman.

Don’t miss out on these and other broadcast management, sales, legal and new media sessions. Register for the Broadcast Management Conference today.
