NAB Applauds Verizon Wireless and AT&T on Addition of FM-Capable Mobile Phones
NAB President and CEO David K. Rehr sent letters last week to the chief executives of Verizon Wireless and AT&T applauding the mobile phone service providers on their recent inclusion of FM radio-capable handset devices. Verizon Wireless recently added the Samsung Omnia to its list of supported mobile handsets. AT&T has added the LG Incite. Both devices include FM radio as one of their features.

Radio Heard Here Launches New Music Series, New Campaign Spots
Last week the Radio Heard Here campaign launched a new music series of radio spots, featuring interviews with new artists expressing their appreciation for and love of radio. The spots showcase new artists' affinity for radio both for its power to connect them with a nationwide audience and their own pleasure at discovering new music on the radio. The first spot, released last week, features new music artist Caitlin Crosby.

Streaming Agreement Deadline April 2
Reminder that the April 2 deadline is approaching for companies that want to opt-in to the NAB streaming agreement. If you are a company that is currently streaming music, and you want to choose the NAB negotiated rates, you must fill out an election form on the SoundExchange Web site.

NAB will release today and Friday new television spots to help guide consumers through the final steps in upgrading to digital television before the June 12 national transition. Produced as part of NAB's rebranding effort to educate viewers about the new deadline, the new spots provide in-depth information about converter boxes and reception issues, building on previous NAB spots that address these topics.
