Advocate Your Station's Public Service Efforts

Seek support from the beneficiaries of your station's public service by utilizing the "Sample Letter to Third-Party Beneficiaries" tear-out sheet from NAB's Advocacy Guide to involve these influential partners. Suggested forms of support can include partnering in a news conference or photo opportunity to announce the success of a collaborative effort, taping an on-air message to highlight a partnership or spotlighting a joint campaign in the beneficiaries' newsletters or annual reports, as well as speeches and other presentations in the community. Originally mailed to stations in July, the "Sample Letter to Third-Party Beneficiaries" and complete Advocacy Guide containing even more outreach ideas, are available online.
