All television stations must file Digital Teleivsion (DTV) Consumer Education Quarterly Activity Report (FCC Form 388) for the July 1 - September 30, 2008, calendar quarter by October 10. Stations must file electronically using the Federal Communcations Commission's (FCC) Consolidated DataBase System (CDBS). Stations must also place a copy of FCC Form 388 in their public file and must post the form on their station's Web site, if the station has one.

The FCC's Enforcement Bureau has been actively enforcing compliance with consumer education for all telecommunications providers, and will be closely reviewing broadcasters' Form 388 reports. Stations should ensure they are accurately disclosing their consumer education acitivities on FCC Form 388. For more information, broadcasters should consult their station counsel.
