Each month, The NAB Pulse will spotlight one example of a station’s exemplary public service. This month, the spotlight is on WAPT-TV from Jackson, Miss. To battle hunger, WAPT took advantage of the area’s passion for high school football and created the “Food for Families” Football Challenge. One football game each week was named the “challenge” game and created a friendly competition between the two high schools to see which could collect the most donations for the Mississippi Food Network.
