NAB Presence at Political Conventions

The political conventions kick off this week in Denver, and NAB is taking this opportunity to keep our priority issues top of mind with campaign insiders, politicos and policymakers.

We're reminding Democrats and Republicans that, regardless of party, we’re all going digital on February 17, 2009, by displaying this ad in the Denver International and Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airports. The DTV transition is a historic moment in broadcasting that will occur shortly after the new administration takes office. This marketing effort is designed to stress the importance of the transition and remind travelers of broadcasters' overwhelming commitment to educating viewers about the switch.

Travelers through the airports will also be reminded of why they love free radio with this ad, designed to reinforce our opposition to the performance tax and all the reasons people love free radio – from discovering new artists and connecting with the community to being able to listen for free, anywhere at anytime.

The ads will run in Denver from August 11 – September 10 and in Minneapolis-Saint Paul from August 15 – September 14, 2008.
