NAB has unveiled the 2008 National Report on Broadcasters' Community Service and interactive Web site www.broadcastpublicservice.org, highlighting the valuable public service contributions made by local radio and television stations in communities nationwide. Mailed to stations last week and made public at an event on Capitol Hill, the National Report documents local broadcasters’ unrivaled commitment to community service with state-by-state and national statistics and includes hundreds of examples of broadcasters’ public service. Accompanying the National Report, is an Advocacy Guide with tools designed to further assist broadcasters in sharing their own public service stories with policymakers and their broadcast audience. For more information or to request additional free copies of the National Report and Advocacy Guide, please contact NAB at publicservice@nab.org or call (202) 429-5448.
