NAB Television Board Member Paul McTear, president and CEO of Raycom Media, will testify on behalf of broadcasters about the digital television (DTV) transition before the U.S. House Committee on Energy and Commerce on June 10, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. (EDT).

McTear will provide an update on the DTV transition, as well as address the Federal Communications Commission's early analog shut-off experiment in Wilmington, N.C. Television stations in the Wilmington market will go exclusively digital on September 8, 2008, months ahead of the nation’s transition in February 2009.
