During the 2008 NAB Show’s Radio Luncheon, NAB launched the next phase of the Radio 2020 initiative – a campaign called Radio Heard Here – a comprehensive, multiplatform, viral campaign that includes a wide spectrum of promotional and educational initiatives designed to engage virtually the entire ecosystem that radio touches.
A new Web site, www.radioheardhere.com was recently launched, and two blogs are up and running, one at www.radioheardhere.com and one at www.radiocreativeland.com.
In addition to all of the resources these sites already offered, we’ve now added logos and brand guidelines for your use under the "Campaign" tab. This resource is designed to guide use of the Radio Heard Here logo and creative as you incorporate these elements into your promotional activities.
In coming weeks even more resources will be introduced, including an insider’s guide – a fact book containing what we need to know to share the good news about radio, and radio spots are currently in production.
We encourage you to continue to explore the Radio Heard Here Web site and blogs, and all of the tools and information they have to offer.
With this campaign, we are reminding radio insiders, the media industry and consumers of radio's value. We are mobilizing you – radio's ambassadors – to communicate radio's relevance and vitality to the public at large.
It is the hope of NAB, the Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB) and the HD Digital Radio Alliance that armed with the facts and the good news about radio, you will join in this unprecedented effort to reinvigorate this great business and secure the successful future we can achieve together.
If you have questions or suggestions about the Radio Heard Here campaign, please do not hesitate to contact NAB's Executive Vice President of Radio John David at jdavid@nab.org or NAB's Executive Vice President of Marketing and Communications Michelle Lehman at mlehman@nab.org.
