In addition to this month’s live DTV webcast for broadcast stations, NAB is offering a special online briefing to help congressional staffers educate their constituents about the transition.
During the Tuesday, April 8 webcast, NAB Executive Vice President of Television Marcellus Alexander and Vice President of Digital Television Transition Jonathan Collegio will address DTV issues unique to our government partners. Topics will include:
- How the federally-mandated transition will impact communities across America
- What consumer education and outreach initiatives are already underway by broadcasters
- How to access information about the DTV coupon program and converter boxes
Congressional district staff and caseworkers may ask questions real-time via email.
Immediately following the special session, NAB will present its third live DTV webcast for television stations. NAB Director of Public Affairs and Marketing of DTV Transition Michael DiSerio will join Alexander and Collegio in discussing new developments in the converter box coupon program, station best practices with video examples and “low power” and translator issues. Participants have a chance to win a 26” LG Electronics LCD flat screen TV. A winner will be drawn live during the program.
