The broadcast industry needs technicians and engineers to set up, operate and maintain the electrical equipment of radio and television stations. Opportunities are available across the country.

The National Association of Broadcasters Education Foundation (NABEF), in partnership with VeteranStrong, is looking for active duty service members who are about to transition out of the military to participate in the Technology Apprenticeship Program (TAP).

TAP gives participants a one-of-a-kind educational experience through paid, hands-on training at a radio or television station and exposure to the latest technology and advances in broadcasting.

Those with a background or interest in electrical/electronics technology, computer science and information technology, digital technology and radio frequency technology should apply.

As a participant, you will receive:

  • Exposure to the latest technology in broadcasting at NAB Show in Las Vegas
  • Paid, hands-on apprenticeship at a radio or television station of your choice
  • Networking opportunities with potential employers and industry leaders
  • Education to become a Certified Broadcast Technologist
  • Experience producing a live webcast to the industry from NAB in Washington, D.C.

NABEF will cover the costs of airfare, registration, accommodations and exam fees.
