In September 2012, the FCC released a notice of proposed rulemaking seeking comment on rules and policies for conducting the incentive auction and for governing any subsequent repacking of stations in the post-auction television band.
In advance of this release, on September 6, NAB held a members-only virtual town hall meeting to share an update on the current legislative and regulatory landscape and help stations prepare for the FCC's proposed rulemaking.
NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith, General Counsel and Executive Vice President of Legal and Regulatory Affairs Jane Mago and Vice President of Technology Bruce Franca provided information in a brief, but informative, panel moderated by Executive Vice President of Television Marcellus Alexander.
