Wendy Aylsworth

Wendy Aylsworth is Sr. Vice President of Technology for Warner Bros. Technical Operations. Wendy oversees the establishment of new technologies for Warner Bros. production divisions and assesses the impact of emerging technologies on product distribution. She participates in national and international technical standards organizations to promote commonality for the benefit of the entertainment sector.

As chairman of the Technical Committee on Digital Cinema for the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers, Wendy coordinates the efforts of over 200 international individuals in establishing the first set of over 30 interoperability specifications on digital cinema; from the format of master elements, through distribution of the content, and on to exhibition routing and display. For the International Telecommunications Union in Geneva, Switzerland, Wendy acts as Vice Chair of the Radiocommunication Broadcasting Multimedia Working Party, which establishes global standards for digital metadata and interactive processes used in broadcasting.

Wendy joined Warner Bros. in 1994, establishing the new technology operations for Feature Animation. Previously, she spent five years at The Walt Disney Co. overseeing animation technology and theme park rides software development. She worked fifteen years in aerospace; at Lockheed Aircraft Co. designing and developing computing systems for operational military aircraft, and at Honeywell managing software departments in R&D and military training simulators. Wendy is a published and quoted expert in entertainment technology. She has received the YWCA award for Outstanding Woman of the Year in Engineering. She recently served as President of the Board of Trustees of High Point Academy and was formerly the founder and chairman of the Klimke Endowment Fund. She holds an MS/MBA (Beta Gamma Sigma) in Managerial Sciences/Strategic Planning from the University of Southern California. Her BS is in Computer Sciences from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
