Mark Chiolis

Mark Chiolis is a Senior Director Marketing in the Marketing and Technology division of Grass Valley, Inc., based in Burbank California. Mark has been with Thomson Grass Valley (BTS, Philips Broadcast) for over 14 years, both in sales and marketing capacities. Currently, Mark is primarily concentrated on interfacing with clients and trade association groups to bring a comprehensive solution focus across Grass Valley factory organizations in the areas of broadcast and production for both current and future developments. Mark is also active in the digital cinematography development, bringing an in depth knowledge to that area thanks to supporting the Viper product for the last 5 years inside the company. Prior to joining Thomson Grass Valley, Mark worked at multiple television stations in Operations, News, and Production Management, specifically focused on commercial and live production. Mark is an active member of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE), Society of Television Engineers (STE-LA), Digital Cinema Society and a Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE) member for almost 20 years, is currently an HPA board member, a manager in the Hollywood section of SMPTE and is a past board member of the California Broadcasters Association (CBA). He continues being active in the creative side of the business, shooting for key projects, when time permits.
