Kenbe GoertzenPresident and CEO, QuVis
Topeka, KS
As an avid lover of film, Mr. Goertzen set out to develop technology that would transcend the film experience. The result was QPE, or Quality Priority Encoding, QuVIS’ patented wavelet based real-time recording process that guarantees image quality at user-definable levels. Since its development, QPE has become the benchmark in image excellence. Beginning with the first digital cinema showing in 1999, QuVIS QPE enabled servers have offered alternatives to film and video while providing the highest resolution images available. Used worldwide for digital cinema, post-production, themed entertainment, 3-D applications, large screen displays, and digital dailies, QuVIS servers have recorded, stored and played motion images at the same unsurpassed image quality that originally earned the respect of the Hollywood production and post industries. Most recently, QuVIS servers were selected by NASA for their Return To Flight program, and partnered with Arts Alliance Digital Cinema for the UK Film Council’s digital screen network of up to 250 screens throughout the UK.
