IV. PROBLEM CONCEPTUALIZATION
A. Statement of the Problem: This should be in the form of questions to be answered or hypotheses to be tested.
B. Contribution to the Field: Discuss the significance of the problem to be investigated and the implications of possible results. Also discuss the importance and significance of this problem for the broadcast industry or for some segment of the broadcast industry. Is this a new problem or is it something being replicated? What other research has been done in the area (i.e., literature review)? How will the proposed research fit into the existing body of research? What is your plan for disseminating your results?


V. PROPOSED RESEARCH TECHNIQUE
Describe the proposed methodology for this study including procedures for data collection and analysis and results.


VI. RESEARCH SCHEDULE
Indicate when the research will be undertaken, including the scheduling of each phase of the project, and the anticipated date of completion. Reports are due August 31, 2011.


VII. REPORT FORMAT
NAB requires that three printed copies of the final report be submitted. If possible, the report (and data) should be submitted in electronic format (Word or PDF).

VIII. BUDGET
State below the amount of money you estimate will be needed to complete the proposed research, by type of expenditure (e.g., field work, data entry, printing, postage). University overhead and fringe benefits are not allowable expenses. NAB policy is that 50% of the funds are disbursed at the time of the award and 50% when the final report is submitted in acceptable fashion.
