Mark Krieschen is Vice President / Market Manager for Cox Media Group – Houston, the largest market in Cox Media’s radio and television portfolio. In this role, he has oversight of total operations in the cluster that include radio stations: KGLK, KHPT, KKBQ, KTHT and Local Solutions, CMG’s digital platform. He also oversees national ad sales for the radio division. Krieschen joined Cox Radio in 2005 as VP/General Manager of two radio stations in Houston and was named Market Manager in 2007. Krieschen’s stations have won multiple honors including Marconi Awards, awards from the Country Music Association, the Academy of Country Music, and state awards from the Texas Association of Broadcasters for outstanding community service.
Krieschen is a multi-year honoree as the Media Alliance of Houston’s Market Manager of the Year. He also serves on the Executive Committee of Texas Association of Broadcasters, is a board member with the Better Business Bureau of Houston and South Texas, and serves on the Houston Leadership Committee of the Ad Council, and the advisory board of Media Alliance of Houston (formally AWRT).
Prior to joining Cox, Krieschen held various positions at Tribune’s WGN Radio in Chicago. Krieschen holds a degree in Communication and Fine Arts from Southern Illinois University - Carbondale. He and his wife Kathy have five children and six grandchildren and live in Sugar Land, Texas.
