NAB Small Market Television Exchange Overview

This is the only national meeting exclusively for small market group executives and station television broadcasters in DMAs 75+. The Exchange focuses on innovative ways to attract emerging and non-traditional advertisers, suggestions to enhance the station's position in the local marketplace and tips to help turn good ideas into revenue-generating plans.

The mantra of Small Market Television Exchange (SMTE) is "win." It is expressed throughout the program in its leadership and sales training strategies and money making ideas.

SMTE is developed and produced by the NAB Small Market Television Advisory Committee. This year, the Small Market Television exchange will be held in Phoenix, Ariz., from September 26-28. SMTE Co-Chairman Madelyn Bonnot Griffin, managing partner, National Communications, in Lake Charles, La., gives a snapshot of what to expect at the Exchange.

The best endorsements of the Exchange come from your broadcast colleagues. Here's what they had to say:

Your colleagues say SMTE is the best buy in the industry. Budget $2,000 (air, registration, hotel and ground transportation). Your ROI on this travel investment is significant. Consider trading unused inventory for a travel debit card.
