WASHINGTON, D.C. The National Association of Broadcasters announced today that Nicole Gustafson and Grisella Martinez will join NAB as Vice Presidents of Government Relations on February 27. Gustafson and Martinez will report to Curtis LeGeyt, NAB Executive Vice President of Government Relations.

"Nicole and Grisella are experienced Capitol Hill staffers who have gained a sophisticated understanding of the legislative process working for influential members of Congress," said NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith. "NAB and our members will benefit greatly by adding their political experience and policy expertise to our bipartisan government relations staff."

Gustafson joins NAB from the National Football League, where she was vice president of Public Policy and Government Affairs. She previously worked for several senior Members of Congress, including House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA), former Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA), Rep. Steve King (R-IA), and Sens. Gustafson holds a J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law, and graduated summa cum laude from William Penn University with a B.A. in American History/Government and Communication Studies/Public Relations. She will join NAB as Vice President and Senior Legislative Counsel, Government Relations.

Martinez served as policy director for the House Democratic Caucus under former Chairman Xavier Becerra (D-CA), and is currently Special Advisor to current Chair Joe Crowley (D-NY). Before joining Rep. Becerra's staff, she worked for both the National Immigration Law Center and the National Immigration Forum, where she was the director of Policy and Legislative Affairs.

Martinez earned an LL.M. from Washington College of Law at American University, a J.D. from Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law, and a B.A. in English and Political Science from James Madison University. She will join NAB as Vice President, Government Relations.
