2016 NAB Show Media Finance and Investor Conference to Host Keynote Conversation with Ben Silverman

-- Executive Producer of “The Office,” “Ugly Betty,”

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Ben Silverman, Emmy and Golden Globe-winning executive producer and chairman and founder of Electus, will kick off the Media Finance and Investor Conference (MFIC) at the 2016 NAB Show. Silverman will be interviewed by INvelop Entertainment Chief Executive Officer Brant Pinvidic on April 18th at the Encore hotel in Las Vegas.

Silverman is the chairman and founder of Electus, a next-generation studio launched in July 2009 in partnership with InterActiveCorp. The company produces and distributes programs across media platforms, including cable, digital, broadcast and OTT. Prior to Electus, Silverman was co-chairman of NBC Entertainment and Universal Media Studios. Responsible for directing the efforts of NBC Universal’s television operations, Silverman transformed the business model by connecting advertisers and consumers through content and working with international partners. Prior to NBC Universal, Silverman launched Reveille, a production and distribution company focused on developing worldwide intellectual property rights through scripted and alternative television formats including “The Office” and “Ugly Betty.”

“Ben is a pioneer in his field who has made significant contributions to the evolution of media and entertainment,” said NAB Executive Vice President of Conventions and Business Operations Chris Brown. “We look forward to hearing his perspective on the business of media at our Media Finance and Investor Conference at NAB Show.”

Moderator Brant Pinvidic most recently served as the chief creative officer at 3 Ball Entertainment - the company that produced “The Biggest Loser” for Silverman, as well as ABC's “Extreme Makeover: Weight loss Edition,” “Bar Rescue,” and more. Prior to joining 3 Ball Entertainment (previously Eyeworks USA), Pinvidic was senior vice president of programming and development for TLC, playing a pivotal role in the launch of several successful series, including “John & Kate Plus 8.”

The Media Finance and Investor Conference runs from Monday, April 18th – Tuesday, April 19th and is produced in partnership with the Noble Financial Capital Markets (Noble). MFIC features executive-level discussions with institutional investors from a sector perspective as well as briefings on the performance of individual corporations. MFIC will also host economic and technological outlook panel presentations and facilitate one-on-one meetings between corporate executives and the investment community.
