Job Seekers and Media Industry Recruiters Unite for 2011 NAB Show Career Day

Washington, DC -- The NAB Education Foundation (NABEF), in partnership with the Broadcast Education Association (BEA) and The Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA), will host their annual Career Day in the Las Vegas Hilton Ballroom C from 9:30a.m. - 3:00p.m. on Wednesday, April 13 during the 2011 NAB Show. Sponsored by Edge Technology Services, Career Day will provide experienced professionals, college students and entry-level job seekers with the opportunity to meet with media industry professionals.

"Career Day unites more than 1,500 job seekers with recruiters from media companies around the world," said NABEF President Marcellus Alexander. "There's no better place for aspiring broadcasters to congregate and learn strategies for career advancement while networking with some of today's top media companies."

Career Day will feature sessions focusing on self-branding strategies and effective social media and networking tools that aspiring media professionals can utilize during their job search and interview process. Additionally Career Day will include Career Advising and Dress for Success Centers that will provide one-on-one sessions on resume critiquing and image consulting. Admission is free, and open to both registrants and non-registrants of the NAB Show.

Recruiters from a variety of broadcast and media companies will be available to answer questions from anyone interested in job opportunities and internships within the media industry. Past recruiters include Bonneville International, CNN/Turner Broadcasting, Entercom, Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc., PBS Las Vegas, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and The Star Radio Group -- WFLS-FM Fredericksburg, VA/WWUZ-FM Bowling Green, VA/WVBX-FM Spotsylvania, VA.
