Madonna Joins Radio Promotional Campaign

--Material Girl,' Good Charlotte Step To The Mic For Free, Over-the-Air Radio--

WASHINGTON, DC - The National Association of Broadcasters announced today that pop diva Madonna and punk rockers Good Charlotte have joined the radio industry's "Radio: You Hear It Here First" campaign.

Launched in January of 2005, the "Radio: You Hear It Here First" campaign features testimonials from newly emerging and legendary recording artists, describing how radio played a key role in advancing their careers.

"Madonna is a superstar with an unparalleled following," said David J. Field, President and CEO of Entercom Communications and Chairman of the NAB Radio Board. "It would be difficult to find a more effective spokesperson to communicate free, local radio's strengths."

The Hear It Here First spots are aired voluntarily by radio stations across the country. Throughout 2005, every major radio company aired the ads, donating more than $40 million of airtime to the effort.

The National Association of Broadcasters is a full-service trade association that promotes and protects free, over-the-air broadcasting interests in Washington and around the world. NAB is the broadcaster's voice before Congress, federal agencies and the courts. NAB also serves a growing number of associate and international broadcaster members. Information about NAB can be found at www.nab.org.
