Michael started his career with the media industry in 2002 as a senior network administrator for Quincy Media Inc. (Formerly, Quincy Newspapers Inc.) His arrival came at the start of Quincy Media's initiative to centralize traffic, master control, accounting, and other operations. His expertise guided the company through significant change, modernization, and cost saving initiatives.
Before joining Quincy Media, Michael worked for the Telecommunications and Manufacturing Industries as the Director of Internet Services and Senior Network/Security Administrator, respectfully.
He served in the United States Air Force as a Flight Engineer on the C-141B and WC-130H airframes. His additional duties also included Information Security, Data Systems Administration, and Flight Operations Automation. Michael was hand selected by Air Force Chief of Staff, Gen. Merrill McPeak, to serve as a key member of the Department of Defense data systems standardization and modernization initiative.
Michael has been deep in the trenches of data system networks, devices and security for over 26 years. He is a native of central Illinois, avid technology junkie, and an insatiable consumer of fine cigars.
