Dodd Dodging Trouble

Defeated Democratic presidential candidate and Sen. Chris Dodd may have a problem on his hands next year. Standing for election to his sixth term in the Senate, Dodd is likely to face serious Republican opposition for the first time since his initial campaign. Dodd served three terms in the House before winning a Senate seat in 1980. His father, Thomas J. Dodd, served in both the House and the Senate in the 1950s and 60s. Right now, Chris Dodd’s career is beginning to eerily parallel that of his father.
