The NAB Education
Foundation (NABEF) in partnership with the Broadcast Education Association (BEA)
and Radio-Television News Directors
Association (RTNDA) will host a Career Day during the NAB
Radio Show in Philadelphia on September 23, 2009.
Career Day brings together radio broadcast companies from around the
country to network with experienced professionals, college students and
entry-level job seekers interested in a career in radio.
This year's Career Day will include a series of informative sessions,
as well as one-on-one career coaching throughout the day. Executives and
professionals are also invited to enjoy exclusive access to the career
fair from 9-10 a.m.
Sessions
Building Your Personal Brand
Speaker: Patty Kincaid
One of the most important tools to have when in the job search is a
personal brand. This session will teach you how to create your own
personal brand to best market yourself and focus on what your uniqueness
is in the job search. This is a great session for all experience
levels.
MIW Speed Mentoring Session
Hosted by: Mentoring Inspiring Women in Radio
This fast and furious paced series of eight minute advice sessions will
be modeled after the widely successful "speed dating" concept. It's your
chance to meet and speak "one-on-one" with top professionals in radio
programming, sales, marketing and management to gain valuable tips on
how to better reach and excel at your career goals. Upon the conclusion
of the sessions, attendees will have the opportunity to network
