AMBER Alert

AMBER (America's Missing: Broadcast Emergency Response) Alerts are emergency messages that broadcast when a law enforcement agency determines that a child has been abducted and is in imminent danger.

Please contact NAB by email at publicservice@nab.org or call (202) 429-5448 if you have any questions.

Guides

The AMBER Plan involves a unique partnership between law enforcement and broadcasters to quickly transmit an emergency alert via radio and television in critical child abduction cases. By using the ideas and resources provided by the U.S. Department of Justice, local broadcasters and law enforcement agencies have the tools they need to organize effective local AMBER Plans or strengthen plans that already exist. Click here for U.S. Department of Justice, AMBER Alert publications.

PSAs

NAB has joined forces with the U.S. Department of Justice to provide broadcasters with AMBER Alert PSAs for radio and TV. These PSAs feature John Walsh of America's Most Wanted and Ed Smart, the father of Elizabeth Smart. Radio PSAs are available below for stations to download.
