2010 NAB Crystal Radio Awards
The NAB Crystal Radio Awards are given to individual stations for their
year-round commitment to community service.
Key dates to remember
- February 2 – Entry Deadline
- March 15 – Finalists Announced
- April 13 – Winners Announced and Finalists Honored
NAB Radio Luncheon at the NAB Show, Las Vegas.
- June 14 – Winners Honored at NAB Education Foundation Celebration
of Service to America Awards, Washington, D.C.
NOTE: Please read all rules, guidelines and
instructions carefully.
Entry Rules
- Entries must include all five sections to be eligible for judging.
- Entries must be received by the NAB no later than February 2, 2010.
- Commercial and non commercial over-the-air radio stations in the
U.S. are eligible to enter.
- Each submission may cover only one station's community service
efforts.
- Enty should include all community service efforts that occurred
during the 2009 calendar year: January 1, 2009, through December 31,
2009.
- Entry fee is $60 for members, $120 for non members. Make checks
payable to National Association of Broadcasters.
- Stations that won a 2009 NAB Crystal Radio Award cannot enter again
until 2011
Submission Guidelines
- No video or audio will be accepted.
- Entry must be submitted in a three ring binder.
- Call letters should appear on the cover and the spine.
- Covers should not contain any information that could be considered
entry information and that should have been included in one of the
sections.
- Entry information should be divided into five tabbed sections.
- Any section dividers containing photos or entry information will be
included in the page count for that section.
- Photos and thank-you notes may be used throughout sections 3-5.
They will be included in the page count for the section.
- Entries must meet all entry requirements in order to be considered.
- Entry gives NAB the right to use the awards ceremony, station name,
and entry content -- in whole or in part for promotional and other
purposes without additional
consideration.
- In submitting this entry, entrant certifies that it holds all legal
rights to the material submitted, and entrant hereby irrevocably grants
to NAB the nonexclusive right to use said material in whatever manner
NAB deems proper, including the production of books, audio tapes and
other media.
