NAB Outlines Negative Impact of Performance Fee
Representatives from the National Association of Broadcasters met with members of Congress and representatives from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) to reiterate the negative impact an additional performance fee would have on local radio stations and its 235 million weekly listeners.

NABEF Calls for Entries for 2010 Celebration of Service to America Awards
The National Association of Broadcasters Education Foundation (NABEF) announced today that entries are being sought for the Celebration of Service to America Awards, an event that recognizes outstanding community service by local broadcasters. Winners will be honored at the Celebration of Service to America dinner held Monday, June 14, at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill.

NAB Ad Thanks Nearly 300 Lawmakers for Supporting Local Radio
The National Association of Broadcasters today placed an advertisement in two D.C. political publications, Roll Call and Congressional Quarterly, thanking the nearly 300 lawmakers who have cosponsored the Local Radio Freedom Act, a bipartisan resolution that opposes "any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge" on local radio stations for music aired free to listeners.
