On June 11, we honored local radio and television stations that work tirelessly to ensure our communities are safe, informed and equipped with the latest information and news. From investigative reports to helping local veterans, this year’s award recipients were recognized for the extraordinary ways they serve their communities.
Attendees included over 600 industry influencers, including media companies, policymakers, press and local broadcast stations.
Award-winning artist John Legend received the 2019 Service to America Leadership Award for his advocacy efforts to promote social justice and equality.
The Service to America Awards recognized individuals and organizations responsible for improving the lives of others through extraordinary public service. This year, we announced a new award, the John D. Dingell Jr. Award for Excellence, to honor the late, long-serving congressman.
