Fighting Antiquated Restrictions

NAB has long advocated for the reform of the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) antiquated broadcast ownership restrictions to allow radio and television stations to compete more effectively in the modern marketplace.

Last year, NAB supported the FCC in court challenges to its previous decision modernizing those rules brought by advocacy groups opposing all reform. In 2020, NAB will continue to support the FCC’s deregulation efforts and make the case for additional loosening of the radio and television ownership rules.
